Met by a barrage of River Plate fans, the Boca Juniors bus was pelted with missiles and, crucially, tear gas. The Boca coach was ambushed prior to the Copa Libertadores final second leg, with at least one player taken to hospital. A "shameful" attack on the Boca Juniors team bus by River Plate supporters has led to the postponement of the final of the Copa Libertadores second leg. The second leg of the Superclásico Buenos Aires derby was suspended after Boca Juniors players were injured as their bus travelled to River Plate's Estadio.
